State Theatre

The State Theatre is the last histroic theatre open in downtown Lincoln, NE still showing movies.  We serve all the traditional movie going snacks such as softdrinks, popcorn, and nachos and add our own twist; mixed drinks, wine, a wide selection of beer, and pizza.  We offer couch seating in addition to cafe-style table and chairs, designed to be the most comfortable exeprience you will ever have at a movie theatre.  Our movies are usually 18 and over, with under 18 allowed with parents.

In addition to new, classic, and independent movies, we host live comedy acts and music on a regular basis.  We bring in nationally known comedians seen on Comedy Central, NBC's Last Comic Standing, BET, MTV and others!  We host a wide variety of live music including alternative, blues, rock, reggae, and rap, both local and national acts.
